The Pride of Pocola finished their 2018 competition season at the Lawton Superior Marching Contest on October 24. The band and color guard qualified for this contest by receiving Superior ratings for performances at the OSSAA Regional Marching Band Contest. At Lawton, The Pride placed 2nd in their class and received Superior ratings for their field performance. The band was also received the Lucas Award, which goes the the highest overall scoring band not placing 1st in their respective class. The PHS Color Guard received a Superior rating for their group performance and the following students received Superior ratings for their solo performances:
