Band has successful run at state championships.

Congratulations to the Pride of Pocola! They have concluded their regular competition season on Saturday, October 13,  at the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association State Marching Band Championships. Having moved up to the larger 2A Class, they fared very well against their competitors. For the first time in 10 years, the band earned a spot in finals, having one of the top 12 scores of all the bands (class A/2A/3A) of the day. After finals competition, the Pride of Pocola finished in 10th Place overall. This is an outstanding achievement for this program, and is a reflection to the dedication and strong work ethic of these wonderful students.

The Pride of Pocola will travel and compete in the Lawton Superior Marching Contest on October 24.  The Pride earned a spot in this competition by receiving a SUPERIOR rating at the OSSAA Southeast Regional Marching Contest at McAlester on October 10.
