The Pride of Pocola Marching Band traveled to Oologah to compete in the Stallion Battalion Marching Invitational on Saturday, September 29. The band performed their production entitled, 'ExtraTerrestrial".
In preliminary competition, The Pride won 1st Place in Class 2A Gold. In caption awards, Pocola's Percussion and Color Guard both received 3rd place in the overall 2A class.
For the first time, The Pride of Pocola earned a top 12 finals spot, out of 25 bands, outscoring groups from the 3A, 4A, and 5A classes. After the finals competition, The Pride was awarded an 11th place finish.
